Lovely food and service

Did not have a pleasant experience here. Atmosphere was good, outdoor seating, and sharing floor space with many other restaurants was ok and it was a nice place. (We have eaten at several other restaurants there too.) Waitstaff on the other hand was not too friendly. We were 8 in our group going out for dinner. We ordered three pizzas, lasagna, entrecôte with bernaise sauce, chicken in sherry sauce and two Caesar salads. The various pizzas were ok, they reminded us of frozen pizzas the way they all were so uniform and the fill was undercooked and wet. Entrecôte was a strip steak and came with mushroom sauce instead of bernaise, we let them know but we decided not to make a fuss as they kept saying the kitchen would have to make a whole new plate, like it would be too much work. Chicken in sherry sauce was also ok, but too much vinegar and huge chunks of garlic which overpowered the taste of the rest. They did not have Caesar salad on the menu but they assured us after asking the chef that they definitely could make it. Caesar salad is made with romaine lettuce, crutons, parmesan cheese and an anchovy based dressing, that's s all. This was the biggest disappointment, it was made with iceberg lettuce, radicchio, carrots, tomatoes, raisins, nuts, corn, and manchego cheese, drenched in a runny ranch dressing which made the crutons soggy fall-apart mush. We poured 1/3 cup of the liquid out of the bowl to make it somewhat edible. Lasagna was very good and would order that if we were ever to come back at all. We did complain that the salads were not made right and they were priced 3 over their most expensive salad and we did get a 3 break on both the salads. Would not recommend unless you stick to steak or lasagna.

Exsalent authentic Italian food with a lovly cosy famally feeling when the wether is a bit colder and you get to sit inside I like eating hear in the winter
