The museum is awful. The paintings and other exhibits ofcourse were breathtaking but the musejm ruined them. The lights and glass that covered the exhibits was destroying them completely unfortunately.

Nice museum with more than 5 different galleries. Entrance was free (Saturday)

Paid entry, free on Sundays. Right on edge of Turia so easy to reach. Relatively small but art more accessible than most of this type. Regular exhibitions. Local artist works quite good, wallpaper scrapings installation good laugh. Staff surly. Small restaurant, probably good.

Entrance was free for us (no idea why). Exhibition was all good. Every 5 meters there is a guard walking around, following and observing you as if you are about to steel or damage something. Never experienced sth like that. Makes me feel uneasy.

Really interesting place to visit.

IVAM needs to allow visitors to take photos of all their exhibitions. Visitors take pictures and post thereby generating interest and excitement for the museum. When will they learn this value? Exhibits are interesting.

We did not know much about Julio González before going to this museum. There is a huge collection of his sculpture in iron. Some of them are quite amazing considering they came out of scraps of metal and bars, reflecting some bits of defiance amidst the spanish civil war (i guess). Also many contemporary exhibits by lesser known artist. Very worth a visit.
