Update: decided to give The Alley another chance, ordered the brown sugar milk tea and I was not disappointed. They now have an option to add ice so my drink was nicely cooled, and their pearls were a lot chewier, not hard at all. Definitely left a satisfied customer this time. Was very excited to find an Asian bubble tea store in Madrid, but very disappointed with my drink. Got the trio te de leche and the drink turned out lukewarm, the boba was undercooked (aka hard).

The tea was great but the pearls in the drink was severely undercooked. Trusted “The Alley” brand name but was disappointed. Also, the temperature of the drink was lukewarm when it’s supposed to be cold. There’s definitely room for improvement.

Visiting from Canada, we made it a mission to try the Boba/Bubble Tea where we could. We were excited to find out there was a The Alley in Madrid -- the Original and the Matcha brown sugar were amazing. This is how authentic milk tea is done.

La loca de los tés

Sube a mi top de los mejores de Madrid, la única pena es que me quede tan lejos pero aún así vale la pena darme el viaje para disfrutar de sus maravillosos tés. La atención es muy buena, bastante amables, el lugar muy acogedor. El pollo muy bueno y picante de verdad (solo para valientes). Tengo un vicio con los bubble tea, desde los clásicos de te negro o matcha con tapioca hasta las mezclas con frutas, gelatina y queso. En este sitio tienen gran variedad, clásicos, refrescantes con frutas o flores.

Absolutamente terrible. Nada que ver con The Alley en otras partes del mundo. El té de perlas sabe a leche pura. Las perlas mal cocinadas y frías. El lugar huele a pollo y noodles; es imposible disfrutar una bebida refrescante así. No se les ocurra ir.
