Any experienced seamstress has heard of Teté CaféCostura, and so I was eager to visit this store when visiting Madrid. We bought two workshops for the weekend and some beautiful japanese fabrics. The employees who assisted me were all very helpful and even tho I was there very close to their closing time they helped me choose the fabrics with a lot of kindness That was really kind of them and much appreciated! Thanks for a great experience!

As a foreigner, new to Madrid, Teté CaféCostura is a welcoming, relaxed and creative environment to learn everything there is to know about sewing. Even though my Spanish is very basic, I feel at home here with Teté and the other students. Our mornings begin with a coffee and a catch-up, before we get started on personal projects of our choosing. I so look forward to my time here every week and highly recommend the establishment to any foreigner or local in search of some creative refuge. Teté is a wonderful teacher - patient, down to earth and full of energy.
Went in during hours of operation, wanted to buy some nice fabric and ask information. Door was closed, lady inside gestured angrily that I should leave.

El mejor sitio para aprender a coser. Llevo 2 años en clases con Teté y estoy encantada. Es paciente, creativa, divertida...un lujo tenerla de profesora. Los días de clase son estupendos, uno de los mejores momentos de la semana. Mis compañeras de curso con las que ido coincidiendo cada mes también geniales y con alguna hemos hecho amistad. El espacio es precioso y muy acogedor. Gracias Teresa por facilitar esos momentos durante todo este tiempo.
He hecho el curso de iniciación de costura con Tete y una maravilla. Es un ambiente muy cercano y Teté explica todo de maravilla y con mucha paciencia. He ido a tres clases y se me han hecho cortísimas, así que seguramente en breve me apuntaré al curso de continuación. Os dejo una foto del bolso que he aprendido a hacer en la tercera clase y de una tela que le compré a Teté.
