A stunning historical site that is used for theatrical purposes. It is well maintained and kept clean. They also provide a small cushion for you to sit on, which is greatly appreciated. A must place to go!

This is definitely one of the places in Merida to visit. Very well kept historical site. Unbelievable what the romans could make without electricity and cranes

Excellent and fascinating Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre. Beautifully restored and laid out. Could spend several hours here. The Roman Theatre was built between 16 and 15 b.C and the Amphitheatre about 8b.C
