I ordered a box of spices for a birthday and was super impressed that the store had it beautifully wrapped and ready for me... even though I had only casually mentioned via email that this box was a gift. The spices were beautifully labeled and presented and even came with a couple free extras. Thank you so much!! The personal attention was very much noticed and appreciated.

The person who helped me was so genuine and knowledgeable. First, when I said I was just looking, he let me and didn't try to sell me anything. Then, when I did ask for help letting him know that I knew very little and was looking to buy spices for family in another country, he got out loads of spices. He then proceeded to let me smell them, to explain their contents, origins, etc. Considering that it is a specialty shop, I definitely think that what I spent was reasonable (15, referto pic to see). He sincerely is passionate about cooking and spices because he asked me where I'm from and really wanted to know about spices typical from that area. I will definitely be going back. I'm so glad I found this shop!

Spicy Yuli is one of those small secrets you can always find in Madrid. Located in Malasaña neighborhood, her owner, Yuli, is an expert in spices and teas. I'm not a tea person, but I've always loved a good, I mean good, cup of tea. At the shop the owner helps you to taste different kinds and specialties, and also gives you recipes to cook with any of the 85 variations of spices she sells.
