Definitely THE PLACE to know about sparkling wine tradition in the Penedès. This family has stayed true to traditional wine making. Their respect for the land, the product and those who make it possible is simply beyond my words to describe. Visit if you want to travel in time back to the early 20th century and the history of a man who dug up a ‘bodega’ underneath his house. Lovely tale of a family rallying together for better or worse. The wines are second to none. All Corpinnat are worth a sip. The traditional ‘flat’ ones also merit a try. We particularly enjoyed the seemingly un-presumptuous Xarel•lo whites.

We visited Recaredo in January and I'm still thinking back to our incredible tour and the delicious wines we enjoyed. It's a fabulous and thorough tour through the history of the family's business and their natural winemaking process. Truly wonderful. I highly recommend!

A very informative and interesting tour which gives you a good understanding of the sparkling wine making process. Recaredo is known for the long aging process (at least 30 months) and the old and traditional ways. It really is an art and they do everything to keep the traditions alive. Their attention to detail in the wine making process as well as the decision for bio-dynamic viticulture are very impressive. A very recommendable tour and a very recommendable CORPINNAT!
