Madrid No Frills

Hidden deep within Lavapiés, and almost always closed, this stunning cobbled patio took some serious discovering. Walking along C/Doctor Fourquet after visiting Esta es una Plaza, there was a girl craply dressed as a pirate making quite a scene who naturally caught our attention. She was promoting a show running that night, and so she lured us in with curiosity through a dark alley, then into an attractive Madrid Corrala, and then finally through another door into a beautiful secluded cobbled patio with Mediterranean foliage and a white bungalow. Whenever there’s a performance at Sala Mirador, the theatre bar opens and you can go and enjoy a drink on the patio terrace. When it’s open, it’s open till the show ends which is around midnight/1 a.m. and then it’s kick-out time along with the audience. It’s a very informal affair, wonderfully no-frills and at the same time a stunning place to spend an evening. We never made it to the show, but we returned that evening to the patio for drinks on the terrace. During the interval, we caught a perspective-changing glimpse of the cast – a spectacle of young things in costumes that were a caricature of their original selves. It was madness and a sight worth seeing, but fortunately it only lasted 15 minutes and then we continued soaking up the rare peacefulness of the best terrace in Madrid.

A small independent theatre in the heart of Madrid, very nice staff, comfortable seating and high class stage entertainment. Saw a guest play of Argentinian actors which was performed in a brillant manner. Highly recommendable.

Una Sala de teatro escondida en un patio del centro de Madrid. Sorprende cuando llegas porque no esperas ese bonito patio, y la sala es grande y bien preparada... La Katarsis del tomatazo hay que vivirla alguna vez si estás en Madrid.

MUY atrevido y valiente. Me encantó ver qué la mayoría del público era gente joven, disfrutando del teatro, de hecho subimos mucho la media de edad Estuvimos viendo \La katarsis del tomatazo\ y corrimos el riesgo de sufrir alguno ya que estábamos en segunda fila (algunos de la primera se cubrieron para evitarlos). Fue estupendo que tanto en la previa a la obra como en el descanso y a la salida se hicieron pequeñas escenificaciones. Lo único que no me gustó, pero entiendo que formaba parte de la obra, fue el humo constante que me resultó incómodo por la respiración. Felicidades por arriesgar

Esta sala rezuma cultura de la buena. Yo vi el espectáculo de No te metas en política y es un show inmejorable, además veo por los carteles que de hacen muchos cursos y demás actividades relacionadas con el teatro y la interpretación, lo cual es genial. Este espacio es coqueto y con mucha personalidad con un patio privado y barra de comida y bebidas. Muy buena experiencia
