Fantastic place to get to know about ancient Roman history, their tradition, culture. You can visit the site at your own pace. Entrance is free. The well-signed path will take up and down a few hills. Plenty of signage in four languages will explain everything there is to know about how Romans used stones from que quarry to build the cities around Tarraco. No guide available, food or water. So take your own and be ready for a sporty (at times pretty hot) trek . Beware of the wasps. I got stung a few times by an angry swarm while on Lookout #2. Loved this spot!
Interesting place despite the access to the bottom of the pit being closed. The information on the boards along the path is not great but it’s a pleasant walk around the Catalan countryside.
Nice to walk around with little information boards, which tell you about the differentiates of the quarry. Couldn't get into the \clot\ as the gates were locked but this was advertised. Had to access via the services on the A7 aftervjunction 34. We did have to collect a toll token when we accessed at junction 34, but left at junction 35 and didn't get charged.
Nice place, very interesting.
