Do not rent from these people, as they will just keeping charging random unexplained amounts for months after.... My recommendation is to stay far away!

We were a bit wary after reading the reviews but the practice shows the opposite. Goldcar Reus is great! Good and fast. We received an almost new Skoda. The car was less than 100 meters from the office. The service was very friendly and clear. You pay in advance a full tank of gas and a deposit of 1100. A deposit of 1100 seems a lot, but Goldcar also entrusts you with an expensive car for the rental period. You must do 2 transactions with your credit card for this. One for the fuel and 1 for the deposit. When you bring the car full and whole back you get both amounts refunded. With us it was already on our account within 2 days. I recommend the Goldcar in the Reus.
Reus Airport 7.9.19 - 14.9.19 - I had read all reviews after pre booking through Jet2 and was a little anxious prior to arriving. The car I hired was 156 for the week, this included Jet2 insurance. When arriving at the Goldcar desk, all was handled quickly, they knew my details without producing the printed voucher. YES THEY DID sell me there super cover relax, but at 90 euros for the week I thought this was good piece of mind. What I should have done, was booked with them direct and not through Jet2, therefore saving the Jet2 insurance price. Their super relax cover meant no 'blocked 1200 euros' on my credit card and no checks for damage as you are fully covered. When I returned the vehicle, it was as easy as handing over the keys - the 113 euros you have to pay for petrol, unless you refill to full, has been paid back into my account within 3 working days, so I am happy. I had an issue with the original vehicle which had a ' engine fail mode hazard' appear. Ringing their roadside assistance, the vehicle was taken away, Goldcar paid for a taxi back to the airport to pick up a replacement vehicle, all within 4 hours - very good contact through my mobile from road side assistance and the desk knew I was returning for a replacement. Vehicle was easy to pick up and drop off. So this review is a bit mixed, but not a bad experience for me personally. My advice, if you are to use Goldcar - book through Goldcar themselves. - Hope this helps.
everything was OK! Very fast and friendly service. I had a nice Golf 7, it was a very great car. After 1 day I got a refund money for fuel on my bank account. I recommend the Goldcar in the Reus.
I use Goldcar at Reus airport 8-10 times a year, and I have always had a good experience. The people that work here are decent, and fair. The cars are 2 mins walk, the desk in the terminal. It gets busy in the summer, but they try their best. If you are shocked by extra costs or fees for damage, then you haven't researched how to hire a car, guidance is freely available. Sure, the car hire industry is ripe for reform, but I frequently see shocking behaviour by tourists, your anger and naivity is not their fault. I have hired through Goldcar at Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga, and Palma, and have occasionally come across attitude (normally frazzled staff), but in Reus the staff have been fine. I find Goldcar's pricing is often best direct from their website, rather than through agents, so check them as you book. As this airport only has two in terminal companies, it is pretty easy to determine the price online in advance.
Rented a Skoda Favorit for 48 hours. Good car in good condition. Fast, smooth process. They charge you for a full tank of fuel and then return monies owed to you later. Also if you don’t take the full insurance there is a hold on your credit card of 1100 so take a credit card. Otherwise very good experience and their counter is at the airport right as you come out of arrivals.
Strangely cheap if you don’t get the excess cover. I didn’t and it wasn’t difficult to say no as other reviews say. Return was easy just parked and left the key in the box.
Terrible service. Booked a car through 'doyouspain' for a price paid through the same website. When we went to pick the car, they charge us 21,84 extra as other payment charge (Carrec oficina premium 2.35 and Despeses operació i Logística of 15.70 and of course 21% IVA over this). This is one of the most opaque pricing we have received for renting a car. They advertised a very cheap price on online price comparing sites and then they charged you invented charges which they failed to explain. They also blocked 1100 and about 70 for fuel and even few days of returning the car, they still kept it blocked and their excuse is a simple human error as they forget to release from local office of Reus. Suggestion: avoid both 'doyouspain' and goldcar if you can.
