Óleo is our favourite spot in Puerto Del Carmen. The service provided was excellent, and the quality of the local cheeses and prawns were phenomenal. The beef fillet is also must try! We will definitely be back!!

Oleo is just a few steps away, down a side road from the main Puerto del Carmen seafront road. It’s an oasis of calm. You step into a very recently renovated space – a regular customer, who runs a bar locally, told us it used to be a local mini-market – that is looks and feels great. Whether it’s just a coffee, beer, glass of wine or cocktails they will have what suits you. Along with a a great tapas menu. We visited about 6.30pm, quite early for thee evening so it was quiet. The service was attentive, and our coffees, brandies and tapas were all just right. What really brings it all together is the relaxed ambience; no hard sell to get you into their establishment like you get on the main street. There was a great and varied selection of music playing at just the right volume not to be intrusive to conversation. And of course, the drinks and food went down very well. Overall, my biggest impression was this is somewhere different for the town, it’s been put together with a very thoughtful eye to create a gentle place to be in that is modern, Mediterranean (even though we’re off North Africa) and comfortable in every detail. The toilets are just as well thought out and maintained as the garden and inside areas. If this review is helpful, please like it!
Lovely place! Feels brand new, lovely decor, fresh, clean, lots of plants. The staff are all young, very friendly, attentive, and on the ball. The tapas was delicious, we bought too much (two plates each and two sides between us). Fresh tasting, we’ll presented. Bowl of olives was huge! They have craft beer, which went down well with my fiancé. Nice to be somewhere that doesn’t have sticky menus and gimmicks. We’ll definitely be back, and would recommend.
New modern bar with a nice tapas menu. They serve alot of different beers. The coffee was good and the fries were fleshy cut and made. Staff was friendly and helpful.
