The name of this plaza is because of the sculpture that lays in the middle of it. It represents the moment when Isabel the Catholic were signing the capitulations for Cristobal Columbus to start his expedition to the Indias. It's a nice spot although it's always busy because of the heavy traffic. Enjoy!
