This is a small city centre plaza which is remarkable in its beauty and design. The bandstand, the fountain and even the service station, which is roofed with glazed, green ceramic tile and built to match its environment, is impressive. There is the almost standard big statue to Columbus there and you'd think that by now even the Spanish would have stopped talking about \discovery\ and call it \conquest\ of Las Americas. It is sickening to see him still lauded as some kind of hero, knowing the suffering and death he heralded on that continent.
Great vibe on an Friday evening. Recommended for a meal or a stroll. Desserts were hard to find though.
Major city in province Huelva. Lots of original architecture, busy and bustling .
