The Parque del Oeste or Western Park is a park north east of the Royal Palace and quite a bit away from the main tourist circuit of Madrid. Which is a bit of a shame because it's a fantastic park. Probably the most famous and best known feature of the park is the Templo de Debod and deservedly so. The park is full of green, lots of walkways, monuments and sculptures to admire and is amazing on a warm sunny day. It's so quiet to downtown Madrid, it's feels great to get a large park almost all to yourself.
Well... the temple was dry. No water around the monuments as seen in the pictures. There is a nice view of the Cathedrals and it is a pleasant park area where the locals hang out and sun baith. It wasn’t bad... but not amazing either.
Cute park! great for strolling, picnicking, and taking your pets for a walk. During late evenings, It's full of couples making out in the dark xD
