Working with the representative, Leticia Herrera, to make arrangements for a tasting was the right approach. We enjoyed her company as much as we enjoyed the wines We sampled Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva and were very impressed by the quality of the wines and the value (price). We are so jealous of the residents of Spain who can get these fine wines between 8-11 equivalent USD. Again, the pours were much larger than we experience in tastings in CA. It is not surprising that Bodegas Beronia has been recognized over the years as the best value producer of La Rioja Alta wine. Their Crianza is in virtually every pintxo bar we went to and that means more than 30 places in five major cities in the Basque Territories. Yes, we were very busy eating and drinking for 3 weeks. We purchased some bottles, large and small of the Crianza and had it in our hotel rooms throughout the trip. We ordered it at restaurants. It was our favorite red wine with meals. Bravo, to the owners of Bodegas Beronia. We are now looking for it in the USA.

Nice wines, but it can be too pricey. 30 for two glasses of wine and almost nothing to eat.
