I absolutely adore the city of Merida and we should lament more people don't visit this beautiful place, It is an essential destination to come for those interested in ancient Roman history the constructions have been left in great condition considering they are around 2000 years old, The main thing i liked about Merida is the infrastructure in place for tourists wanting to know more, the staff are all very knowledgeable and helpful they should be commended for that, in some places I've visited in the past staff seemed disinterested but here there is an air of enthusiasm, I really enjoyed my stay in Merida

Guy at ticket office speaks only spanish. Not very professional service. Entrance of 12EUR is just too much for what they offer to be seen!!! Theater looks ok but arena is kind of 80% destroyed and there is nothing to see indeed! In Arles (France) entrance is 6EUR to get in arena which is very well preserved! It is overprised and doesnt worth to visit this site for 12EUR!
