We really enjoyed staying in an apartment rental in this part of town. You’re outside of the hustle and bustle of the resort section, yet 10-15 minute walk from the best restaurants in Morro Jable. We found that the resort section of town was so incredibly over ridden with shops/restaurants catering to solely to tourists, that staying in the port was definitely the right move. The restaurants closer to the port, of course catered to tourists as well, but you sat next to many locals enjoying their meals as well. Which you definitely will not find in the resort area - which, to me, says a lot about the area. There is also an amazing beach, which you have all to yourself, 10 minute walk away. If you’re looking for something a little more authentic, try the port, you’ll enjoy it much more than the other section of town.
