Got rushed here by ambulance on 1st August while on holiday. The service and staff were amazing. So many tests were carried out on me in the first 2 hours it was unbelievable. My condition had been diagnosed by then. The medical care received was fantastic. They worked so hard and did so many tests on me (with almost instant results) -seeing an expert doctor who showed such genuine concern, expertise and kindness. a lot of the staff tried hard to communicate with me in English bless them . If I rang my buzzer someone spoke to me and came if needed. They were so helpful with advice etc when I left. So glad I was in Menorca when my heart problem occurred. Still waiting to see a cardiologist in UK! Thank you Menorca

On the 28/06/17 some time after 10pm I came in to the emergency department after a chair folded flat, fractured and amputated the top of my finger from below the nail. The staff saw to me very quickly and within around a hour and a half the top of my finger had been re attached. The staff were amazing. Caring and concerned, attentive and they did all they could to help me, and keep my wife either very close to me, or kept her up to date with what was going on at all times. One lady above all, her name I do not have sorry to say, kept cuddling me and assisting me as I was in shock and shaking violently. She was all smiles and I will forever remember her face and kindness. She went between myself and my wife frequently keeping her up to date and considering what had happened to me, I cannot in any way fault how they looked after me and my wife. Sure, their was a language barrier, but between us all we managed to communicate. The Dr who attached my finger's English was not great, but why would it be? I understood Pain, and he understood my reactions, and to my amazement, he sowed back on the severed top, I spent a well looked after night in a ward, and went back to the villa the following morning. I would love to let them know how I am getting on, so good were they. Whether the finger survives, time will tell, but because of their wonderful work, it has a chance, a chance at the time, I thought it did not have. So to any of them who may see this, who remember that night, thank you very much. Phoning them would be pointless to thank them, as the language barrier I am sure would make this very hard. I will, I think, send them a letter of thanx, or perhaps some flowers as a thank you for their wonderful service. The hospital was amazingly clean. It is a few weeks since and no infections of any sort arose from the procedure they carried out, something, over here in England isn't always the case. Thank you again.Tim O'Connell.

I recently had a prosthetic knee fitted there and the service was incredible. I cannot think of one bad word to say about the hospital or the staff.

Whilst on holiday this year in Menorca I suffered a heart attack after a particularly intense run and then a night at the Cova d'en Xoroi with the family. I was rushed to the Hospital Mateo Orfila, whilst having the heart attack, stabilised upon arrival, placed in the Intensive Care Unit and prepared for Air Ambulance move to Palma in Mallorca the following day. From the moment I arrived to the moment I landed in Palma, the staff at Hospital Mateo Orfila demonstrated the highest professional attributes, mixed with genuine compassion and tender caring. I feel incredibly grateful for the help the staff gave me and the confidence which they inspired through their attitude. I will never be in any doubt that these wonderful people saved my life last week, and you therefore have my eternal gratitude.
