PromoMadrid Desarrollo Internacional de Madrid, S.A. is a regional government-owned company, incorporated in 2004 with the purpose of promoting and developing the Region of Madrid internationally from an economic perspective. PromoMadrid acts under the authority of the Madrid Regional Ministry of Economy and Finance Affairs. PromoMadrid´s objectives are: 1. To support local companies in the Madrid Region throughout their internationalization activities. 2. To attract and retain foreign investment. 3. To carry out and support activities which aim to enhance the image, perception and appraisal of the region, together with its companies, institutions, as well as its cultural heritage and economic potential. Institutional Relations At the headquarters of PromoMadrid, is also situated the head office of the company Centros Empresariales de Madrid en el Exterior, S.A (Madrid Business Centers Abroad S.A), whose aim is to manage the overseas network of the Region of Madrid. The offices are located in the United States, China, Mexico and Brazil. This company was born in 2008 with the purpose of setting up a unified network of Madrid Regional Administration offices abroad. The partners of this company are the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Industry, CEIM, the Madrid Confederation of Employers and Industries-CEOE, IFEMA and the public companies of the Madrid Region, PromoMadrid Desarrollo Internacional de Madrid, S.A. and Sociedad Pública Turismo Madrid, S.A.
