What a find! A wine bar with the most delicious vegetable dishes. Our waiter new all about the wines we had and went into detail of where they were from and the producers. It was a treat. The food was outstanding. I am so glad we were able to visit here. We highly recommend!

What a hidden gem! Located on a nondescript street, Matritum is a quiet, relaxing environment with caring (and English-speaking) staff, outstanding dishes, and a collection of high quality wines. Try this restaurant for a different pace and cuisine than the busy tapas bars in Madrid.

We had a pleasent dinner in this place. The waiter was very nice and funny. The plates were very tasty. The wine by the glass selection is good.

We visited Madrid last week! This was the best restaurant! The food and atmosphere were excellent! We surely enjoyed the homade caneloni with truffle as well as a nicely cooked veal in wine! The rocket salad with quail was fantastic! We had to go again so as to try their fish plates! They were equally good! Thanks to the nice and helpful service we had the correct wine to every meal! Thanks Matritum!

Good selection of wine. Service isn't very attentive (and quite slow), but once the staff get to you, they are friendly. The food is good, but the portions are small, and they seem overpriced. Every table gets a couple of slices of bread with the food (without asking), and this was billed at the end (3 pp) - very cheeky.
