Spanish engineering has decided to promote the project Worldwide Engineering Center Fundation (MWEC), developing an infrastructure that will allow discovering and sharing all those issues that affect the sector worldwide, driving the search for solutions, and helping to monitor their progress. There is currently no other initiative of a similar nature anywhere in the world, whereby its implementation is an opportunity for engineering firms at country level. The Worldwide Engineering Center Foundation was set up in December 2011 with the support of the Community of Madrid.
