Dronything is a Drone-as-a-service (DaaS) solution for Aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisations to make their aircraft inspection process better, cheaper and faster than the current process. It does this by deploying a drone fitted with sensors such as visual tracking, LIDAR, thermal, etc. to scan the aircraft fuselage and feed the images to a machine learning based image processing software, which then processes the image and provides an inspection report. Dronything has a successfully tested prototype, three interested clients and intends to be operational by 1st quarter of 2018. It is closing in on its first client contract, expected to be signed by the end of June 2018. The startup has also been awarded the prestigious Horizon 2020 grant by the European Commission, a grant only issues to less than 10% of startups in Europe. In addition, it also won IE Business School's Venture Day Finals, the flagship annual pitch competition featuring more than 50 startups, in November 2017.
