Water and wast dump lovely little town worth a couple of days exploring ideal stop for santander ferry. Train from aire into santander every hour.

Really excellent free aire. Perfect for getting or arriving from the Santander ferry. However, it isn't just a night halt. The old part of the town and the Puente Mayor bridge with its curious sculpture are worth a visit on their own merits.
We moved here from the Cabarceno Safari park as we weren't feeling it there. Great move as this is a lovely town with great walks. Today we completed the PR-S-24, 15km circuit route in the hills. If you are into walking you must do it. A map can be got from tourist office or it can be downloaded and viewed on maps.me. The parking is flat and we had a quite night. The carpark gets very busy in the evenings with people visiting the town. There is a market in the town on a Sunday morning. There are plenty of eating choices with the backstreet one's reasonably priced. After all it's a tourist town.. The services are clean with only 1 tap and no signage which is typical Spain. The service area is surrounded by concrete kerb stones. Seen some people forgetting and hitting them reversing out. The train station is beside the carpark but the trains are electric and very quite. You can get the train to Santander for about 5.
Good place to overnight and a market on Sunday's.
So convenient, next to the Santander railway station. Nice town with plenty of bars and restaurants.
