Spotted this great little bar by the queues waiting for it to open each evening and decided we had to try it. This place has a great atmosphere, with old-ish Spanish music playing, vermouth on tap and very energetic bartenders. The tapas were great and the whole thing was inexpensive. It’s true that the seating is not the most comfortable, but worth it for everything else :)

Very lovely bar with lots of character. Feels more traditional than many others on this street. Really good Vermouth on tap. Lots of photos and Málaga related stuff on the walls. Seating is all bar stools with a few table barrels. Gets very busy at peak times! Catch it just before lunch at it's quietest.

One of the best tapas bars in Malaga located in the heart of the city, here you can enjoy tapas and wine in a relaxed atmosphere, however, this place can get really busy during evenings and weekends due to the quality of food here. Tapas at La Tranca is simple but excellent, this bar will provide good portions of delicious tapas for cheap prices, very good value for money. A full video of the tapas experience in Malaga is also available on youtube channel (internationalfoodieguide).

My favourite restaurant in Malaga so far. Well served and tasty cheap tapas. Good for eating or just having some beers/vermuths. Old Spanish typical restaurant. Nice waiters and they write down your bill on the table.

Loved this place. The tapas, the interesting decor, the atmosphere, the happy singing barman were all superb. Very Spanish. Tip: if you hate broad beans, try their broad bean and bacon tapa - it will change your mind! The best tapas we've had as completely authentic and not geared to tourists.
