I absolutely love La Mama Acasă! The ambience is amazing, the staff is friendly, and the food is authentic and delicious. I've visited with my Romanian friends and my Romanian girlfriend, and they all approved of the place. Highly recommended!

Amazing authentic Romanian food! It’s actually better than what you find in most of the restaurants in Ro. The portions are just right. I can definitely recommend: - ciorba de fasole cu afumatura (beans soup with smoked meat) - sarmale (stuffed cabbage) - ciolan cu fasole (smoked swine leg with beans) - mici (skinless sausages/little ones ) - papanasi (traditional donuts) - clatite (crepes) Also palinca/tuica (plum spirit) is a must! Be cautious, it’s quite a strong alcoholic beverage.

One of my favourite restaurants in the whole city, I was first introduced by some Romanian friends also living here. There are many plates of all sizes and enough variety to suit any cravings, and when the local Romanian crowd dine here you know it’s good and authentic! There are tapa sized plates in the usual range under 10, and then larger plates and share platters going under 20. A great venue to visit as a group; be sure to bring your appetite as you will eat very well!
