Great homemade comfort food that introduces you to the cuban culture. Great taste and correct prices for a variety of authentic dishes. The presentation and service is nothing fancy but it just makes the overall experience much more down to earth. A small place with two floors which usually gets really full. If you want to try a great homemade cuban meal this is definitely the place for it.

Decent food and friendly staff. I can recommend the black beans. The chicken I had was not seasoned well.

Has a very special character, its very inspiring and a few minutes away from the touristic Sol. Shopping, lot's of bars, coffee places, ethnic cuisine in low key Cuban or Venezuelan restaurants. Definitely look out for the bluffing creatively reworked STOP traffic signs and not only....

I was totally captivated and enchanted by the charm and ambience of this restaurant. As soon as you walk through the door you could be mistaken for really thinking you were in a restaurant on this Caribbean Island. Walking up the rickety wooden steps to the dining area just adds to the mood and feel. However, the food didn't live up to the my expectations. I ordered the Colonial Menu for 12.99 which was actually advertised on the menu for 11.99. My pepper tuna and onion starter came with no onion, but instead some random sprinkling of rice - like it had been dished with a spoon previously used to serve rice. My main course was the carne borracha which was supposed to have been cooked with a combination of rum, cognac and wine. Sadly, it didn't have the faintest trace or taste of any of them. In fact it was more like a very bland beef stew. All the food dishes lacked that extra TLC which would have added some much needed flavour to complete the experience.
