Jaca, Spain
Plaza de la Catedral,
N/A
One of the most notable examples of the early Romanesque style in Spain. Construction began in 1077 under the orders of king Sancho Ramirez who founded the city at this time. The concession of special rights and privileges allowed it to grow and develop into a dynamic centre for trade on the Santiago Pilgrimage Route.

A place stay calm and in peace. Enjoy the mass and see all the small places, sculptures... dedicated important figures on the Christian church. (Although I need more info about this place, but I recommend to visit it, as well as the museum)
Historic signfigance
This is a medium sized cathedral as cathedrals go but impressive all the same. So when you enter you will be in very low light but if you put 1 in the slot the church will light up showing impressive shadows and lightening up some of the hidden areas. The subtle lighting in the dark corners especially at the roof spaces showcase the old stones to remind you this is an old church. I also love the sculptures and designs carved into the walls. The altar is lit up showing the silver reliquary under the altar. A lovely cathedral in a lovely town..
For once, a rather small cathedral. worth visiting.
