NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. Very bad experience. Very high prices (the first month they will make you pay one month fees without telling you in advance) for super old and low quality apartments and rooms. I had Internet problems (the worst!) all year and they did nothing after I told them many times. The bathroom is very old and continued to clog and flood. They want you to notice with 2 months in advance if you want to end the contract but DURING THE PANDEMIC (April 2020) they sent me a text (not even a call!) saying I had one week to leave the apartment because the owner wanted to sell the property. I repeat: during a world pandemic they texted me (a foreign student who could not go back to its country due to the circumstances) I had to leave the apartment in 7 days. Can you believe it??? I'm still shocked, you cannot imagine the stress. Write me for proofs or questions. And the girls who work for the company SEEM very kind and helpful (mainly Bianca) but they are not. They just want to pursue their interests (money) with no sensibility or empathy. Images: the mattress as I fund it the first day when I moved in the flooded corridor the text they sent me. The pictures they have are old and DO NOT represent how the rooms and the apartments are now. STAY AWAY

The room was too expensive for what it was. In the pictures the room looked as if it had decent illumination, turns out it was very dark the whole day. Cheaper accommodation that includes services can be easily found. Particularly, I stayed in carrer de la Portaferrisa, the only rooms that may be worth it are those with balconies , do not trust the pictures! Sound insulation is non-existent and rooms 1 and 2 are obviously artificially built to squeeze more money out of an otherwise decent flat that has no real ventilation unless the rooms with balconies have the door and window open. They also charged me services without the actual ticket and they based it on the previous tickets which were calculated based on previous consumption of 4-5 people when I was the only one left in the flat due to the pandemic. The admission fee is also ridiculous, one month rent. I give 2 stars solely because the staff was always nice.
I would definitely not recommend to book anything with help Barcelona at all. There was no heating inside the apartment, just a tiny radiator. The room temperature in the apartment was 12 degrees in January. The company is not responsive at all and mails concerning your problems won't be answered. Be careful with their landlord admin fee, we ended up paying double the rent for one month. Additionally, they charged us half month's rent for one day, because we already got the keys on the 31st.
I can recommend booking an Apartment with HelpBarcelona. It was a very easy process and worked out well. When I arrived i didn't knew about the administration fee you have to pay, which is a lot of money but i didn't care too much about it. You sign the contract and off you go to your new apartment. During my stay i had to switch apartments one time because there was mould in my room which was kind of a bummer! BUT they handled it nicely and i had a new room immediately. You will always have a contact person for any concerns which is nice too. I would recommend it.
It was a great experience for me when I stayed in Barcelona, my flat manager was kind and helpful. If I will be visiting another city and theres HelpBarcelona affiliates, I definitely would trust they have good services and join them. I would really suggest this place.
