We had lunch on sunny spring day. We got a table on the terrace with beautiful view overlooking the fishing port. Food and service were very good. We had asparagus to share as a first course. Then their signature dishes. Hake in green sauce and grilled hake. Both very tasty. Try the green sauce. Very similar to the famous green sauce of the Piemonte area in Italy

We had a superior fresh seafood experience on the terraza of this fine restaurant overlooking the port. Everything was super fresh and the service was friendly. The merluza (hake) was tender and moist—the best fish of our trip to Spain. The pimiento stuffed with cod mousse was delicious. The clams in white were excellent. The desserts were lovely.

We had such a fantastic experience at Txoko Getaria. The staff were so nice, attentive and made us feel like at home. The food was unbelievable, we had really fresh product and the best sole I’ve ever had in my life. The location of the place was really lovely. Absolutely recommended.

Fish and clams were so delicious. Staff was great, chatted with the man working the grill who had perfect English (he had attended school in the US). One of our more expensive meals in the area, but everything was well executed, so we felt worth it! Enjoy!

Amazing meal - great views, friendly and professional service, relaxed, cozy, and above all very good food. Our fish 'a la parrilla' (charcoal grilled on an outdoors coal grill typical in restaurants in Getaria) was delicious and cooked to perfection. We had the besugo to share as a main (I think that is sea bream in english). The starter 'pastel de kabratxo' was a very nice start to the meal (a subtle fish pate, in this case fried in breadcrumbs and served with a parsley pesto and mayo) , and clams 'marinera' were juicy and fresh cooked in a lovely sauce. Good wine list, and well priced, with a range of prices. Not a cheap meal but not over-priced and definitely worth it for quality and whole experience.
