The biggest issue I have with this place is that we ordered a side is salad which consisted of one tomato, 10 olives and some salad that we paid 9.50. Basically the cost of a regular dish. The rest if the dinner was fair and the fish of good quality.

We visited El Escarpin looking for a warm meal since it was pretty chilly outside Fabada Asturiana was house specialty and turned out perfect. Everyone in in group of six was pleased with Menu del Dia But the best was service of Mariano who went far and beyond to serve us like no other in Madrid

Our overall experience in this Asturian restaurant was good. It is situated not far from Sol. Happy tummies. The servings were enough to feel full. Reasonable prices. We plan to return when we come back to Madrid.

Absolutely outrageous...expensive... and food cannot be called restaurant grade. Nearby king burger is served with similar courtesy and taste way better at fraction of the price!! AVOID. Service assessed for bypassing tourists that would buy just anything served... They never ever seen veal or turbot served properly... No effort made by the stuff to ensure nice atmosphere....never ever again
