Everyone comes here for the burnt basque cheesecake and it’s very good. Each serving comes with two slices. Whole and seemingly half cakes can be bought. The steak is fairly inexpensive here at 44 euros and it’s fine. Comes with some very average chips. Other things are fine. It’s open at 11am which is quite good.

I really hate leaving a bad review because I truly love San Sebastián and the amazing food here. However, my friend and I had such a terrible experience here that I had to share and warn others to know what to expect. We stood in line for quite sometime until we finally were given a table, without any chairs and had to eat standing. We agreed because we had waited a while and it was quite late to find anywhere else. There was one host who was seating people, taking dine in AND to-go orders, cleaning and serving tables. As if that wasn’t enough to ensure terrible service and unreasonable waiting time, this guy was conversating with and laughing and joking with people in line and taking to-go orders all while my friend and I are desperately trying to get his attention to take our orders. I signaled to him at least 5 times with him nodding before he finally came. Even after calling him several times and him telling us he’s coming, I would see him having extended conversations with other people. The dishes were super small and I tried several times to get his attention to order more, but couldn’t. We ate in 10 minutes but we were at the place for over an hour!!!!! He was rude and dismissive and we truly had a terrible dinner experience. That was a shame because the tapas were very good and the cheesecake was great, but truly NOT worth the pain. :(
The best cheesecakes ever in the entire world. Absolutely a must for tasting. Got some good pintxos too! However, because too many people go there, there is no where to sit, not even to stand.
