Bar Txepetxa is famous for its treatment of anchovies, and the walls are covered with photos of its famous guests. It’s easy to understand the reputation: the anchovies are delicious, and the unusual accompaniments work really well. The acidic local white wine, txakoli, makes most sense with this oily fish. Really enjoyed it. Like many places here, it’s busy and crowded with limited seating, but worth the wait.
We love the atmosphere and the food. Definitely would go back here give it a try. We went on assumption day which is a huge festival.
Excellent pintxos! Crowded but fast service! Staff were amazing! Dont miss their anchovies pieces and their local wine! Highly recommend it!
