The place is very cozy and intimate. The staff was extremely kind and attentive from the first moment til the last. The food was very tasty. The beef rib was the most delicious, soft and flavourful with a equally delicious puree. The cannelloni that came highly recommended were very interesting as combination, the filling was a very well cooked pulled pork. The downside of the dish was that it was cold when it arrived on our table and we felt that it lost a bit of it's full taste. It was the first time I tried a octopus ceviche (the octopus is cooked, no worries) and while the flavors and the taste was good, I can't say I liked too much, but this is just a personal preference. If you're a ceviche lover, this should be tried. The grilled goat cheese was a very nice selected cheese and perfectly cooked. The salad itself could have had a better dressing, but the cheese was good. Finally: it does have an interesting selection of dishes, great staff and a nice atmosphere. I left very curious about the other dishes on the menu, but also the much talked about brunch. I will definitely go back.

Been waiting at the door literally 7 minutes without anyone coming to us. Ended up going to Babel, across the street. Don't waste you time here.
Dogs are not allowed It seems very pretty a nice restaurant. I checked the menu looks tasty, unfortunately they don’t accept dogs (as many places in Spain). Even though I went very early and the restaurant was empty the waiter said no, when I insisted saying that I just need a little table for myself, he checked his iPad for available table, he said all booked (restaurant empty). Then I said may I book tmw, he said all booked... I he a rule, if I can go along with my Dog I don’t go. In Germany I don’t need to worry about it, because everything is dog friendly.
Stumbled on this gem while looking for a now closed restaurant. Diurno has ambiance, great and varied food, wonderful wine beer and cocktails, and the most welcoming and professional staff. This is one of my new favourite restaurants, anywhere. I am happy to recommend it, and will be sure to return on my next trip to Madrid.
