Founded in 1979 by a small group of farmers, Cooperativa Agrícola La Unión has since become one of Andalucía’s largest collectives of local growers. We produce high-quality extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, and an array of appellation-certified single varietal wines, including a fine selection of sherries and Pedro Ximénez. Our portfolio includes: Young white wines –– Crafted from Chardonnay, Verdejo, and Sauvignon Blanc varietals, all of Protected Denomination of Origin. Young and oak-aged red wines –– Crafted from Syrah, Merlot, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon varietals, all with Protected Geographical Indication Young rosé -- IGP protected, Syrah rosado Fresh and aged native terroir wines –– Sherries, tinaja, and two sweet Pedro Ximénez dessert wines all with Protected Denomination of Origin, produced via traditional winemaking methods native to Montilla. We are the largest producer of wines in southern Spain, and because of our climate, the first to harvest and bottle in all of Europe each year. In addition to wines, we also produce: Specialty vinegar –– A gourmet-quality, barrel-aged reserve wine vinegar with Protected Denomination of Origin Artisanal EVOO –– An exquisite extra virgin olive oil, Denomination of Origin, made with three local olive varietals –– picual, hojiblanca and arbequina. Our EVOO is highly aromatic, colorful, full of sweet flavor, rich in polyphenol antioxidants and low in acidity. While we have grown significantly over the last 40 years, our mission remains the same — to produce regional products of the highest quality. To this end, we follow rigorous production processes, maintain state-of-the-art production line equipment, and provide agricultural coaching to our family farmers.
