Being placed by ConversaSpain was incredibly easy and the communication was top tier! I chose to apply for the 2019*2021 Language Assistant program in Madrid using ConversaSpain since I'd never lived abroad and was not fluent in Spanish. The decision proved to be a very good one as I ran into stumbling blocks along the way, especially in terms of getting my Visa and then a TIE appointment. ConversaSpain's assistance and prompt responses to my inquiries helped make a challenging process somewhat easier. I have nothing but great things to say about the team at ConversaSpain. Since the moment I applied they have always answered my many questions in a timely manner and have never lost patience with my never ending confusion about what to do next. Since my arrival here in Spain the same support continued with all the administration that I needed to complete to get my NIE. At times I have felt sorry for the team when they have been blamed for things that are beyond their control ... I always say ‘ don’t shoot the messenger ‘!! The team is the best , but remember that it’s also the way you treat people which gets the best results.
I work four hour a day for four days a week, giving me a three day weekend every single week. It can be more if there is a public holiday! An incredible work schedule. I also enjoy working with the children. I didn't know that I actually have a passion for teaching! Besides work, the food here in Spain is the best. The Spanish people are very friendly. I love it here!
For those wondering if this program is in fact legitimate I am here to reassure you that it is. Initially when I was accepted and had to pay a fee I was concerned that the program I was getting myself into was actually real. It was hard to find reviews online so if there is anyone out there wondering , yes you are signing up with a real program. The assistance I received to get my visa was very useful and the program was a good starting point to teaching abroad. I'm happy to say I'm a few months in and I am really enjoying my experience.
I have had an amazing time as an Auxiliare de Conversation this year in Murcia 2019/2020 and will be continuing with ConversaSpain again next year. The Conversa Team has been extremely helpful all year in answering all questions and working really hard to help us organize our paperwork despite moments of bureacratic difficulties out of their control. Every e-mail that I have received has been informative and helpful. I felt supported all year and they made the renewal process very easy for me. Thanks Conversa!
