Really depends on what you need. They can be helpful replacing a lost or stolen passport. But not so much with other questions like returning a ballot.

We went to the Consolat to obtain a passport and the whole process was a positive experience. We had an appointment and they were expecting us. The guards at the entrance were corrrect and attended to the security requirements in a professional and pleasant manner. The attendants who helped us with paperwork were friendly, informative and efficient, both through email and in person.

I was very anxious the moment i realized my passport was left on the plane. the airport wasn’t too helpful but this embassy put my mind at ease! we arrived an hour before it opened so we were the first to be helped but either way they work fast! i filled out an application and gave an ID, they showed me to the area where you take passport photos which costed 5 euros and within an hour I received my temporary emergency passport! If I could give 10 stars I would.

Had my passport stolen the day I was supposed to leave to come home. My flight was on a Saturday and the consulate was closed on Monday for holiday so I had to wait till Tuesday to go. I got there at 7:30 (1.5 hour before open) and was first in line. The staff came out before opening because they saw me standing there and answered the questions I had. They also gave me the forms to fill out so that when I got inside it would be even faster. Once I got in I had my emergency passport within 45 minutes. Staff was extremely nice and helpful and it was great seeing some fellow Americans after feeling stranded without a passport.
