Great touristy place with an interesting palace and lots of historic architectural sites like the house by Gaudi. Add the beach and the lovely old Town area and you can't go wrong. I stayed at the local hostel (Huesca del Camino?) and it was one of the nicest I've ever seen.

This place was pretty busy when we visited Comillas. Looked really good and headed inside. Lots of cheeses, jamon and other meat products. Also some pies and pastries. Bought some sausages to bring with and a Tuna/Tomatoe Pie to eat later on. Both items turned out to be very good. Well made sausages, nothing mass-produced. Also the pie was very good. Nice and crispy outside. Good filling with good quality tuna and fruity tomatoes. They do good pies around here in the north and this shop is a place to find them for fair prices in good quality. Staff was friendly, service was fast. A good place to shop.
Nice place to buy some cheese or products from Asturias and Cantabria. Prices might seem a little high but quality and treat totally worth paying this.

Tres señoritas detrás del mostrador, tonteando con un chico. Cuando han terminado, nos han atendido. Queda un único trozo de empanada. Nos dicen que ese trozo es lo único que les queda. Nos lo llevamos. Vuelvo a la tienda un minuto más tarde a por una botella de agua. Tres empanadas enteras en el mostrador. Muchas gracias, señoritas. Habéis perdido unos clientes que llevan años viniendo a Comillas, aunque imagino que os importa poco.
