Right on Gran Via with an amazing atmosphere. Great staff, cheap prices and a great place to sit in the cafe and work with a few drinks and a good selection of side dishes. Highly recommended :)

I never intended to go to a casino during my brief stay in Madrid, but when I saw the sign for Casino Gran Via while on the on off bus I couldn't resist checking it out. Entrance to the casino is free but they do ask for your passport before allowing you onto the casino floor. There is also a strict dress code which is posted at the front desk when you check in. After writing down your passport number, they give you a ticket that allows you entrance to the casino all day. The casino is lovely. It reminded me of the movie Casino Royale. I would expect to find a casino like this in Monte Carlo. On the first floor are rows of slot machines. Unlike slot machines in Las Vegas they are silent. You don't hear any jackpot dings or winners yelling. All you hear is soft music piped in from the casino. The roof of the casino is a gorgeous stained glass window dome. The building is so beautiful it's hard to believe it is a casino. On the second floor is the poker room and the high stakes game section. The poker room doesn't open until 3pm. It is located in a small room in the back corner of the second floor. There is a cashier at the entrance. There are only three tables. I saw two tables of 1-2 no limit Texas Hold'em and one table of 2-5 PLO. They deal counter clockwise which took a while to get used to. The floor staff are helpful and organized. I would definitely go again if in the area.
El antiguo Círculo Mercantil de Madrid ha recobrado su esplendor gracias al Casino Gran Vía que lleva unos pocos años instalado aquí. De la parte de acá sino no puedo opinar porque no juego pero para organizar eventos es un lugar muy chulo

Voilà un bien sympathique casino. Récent mais traditionnel, le casino se trouve dans un édifice relativement magnifique (intérieur comme extérieur) et est réparti sur 3 étages. Il n'est pas obligé d'être en tenue de soirée pour entrer et jouer aux bandits manchots, à la roulette (réelle ou digitale) ou encore au black Jack. Petit plus, une bouteille de cava se tiendra à votre disposition si vous y entrez le jour de votre anniversaire (offre promotionnelle limitée ???).
Es el casino más céntrico de Madrid. El aspecto es muy cuidado y cuenta con todo tipo de servicios. Comienza con traga-perras en la planta baja y se hace más exclusivo conforme subimos, teniendo las mesas con dealer en la planta más alta.
