A truly tranquil, rural spot to switch off and enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside. Also has a fabulous rustic bar with a log fire for those cold evenings. A gem!!!

Almost a place I didn't want to review in case it gets too popular! \Winter camping\ (closed during summer months) in a beautiful spot up in the sierra, in an oak wooded area, the camping spots really nice and shady (although in winter not so important), plenty of room for camper vans and also some rental cottages. The owners were great hosts, Levi is a \heavy\ (metaller) complete with long hair, beard, denim and leather and all round top bloke! (Didn't test their English lang abilities so not sure about that) The facilities are basic but sufficient and in top condition, clean, hot water nothing to fault there. The icing on the cake is the efugio\ which is hardly the typical shelter, rather than full facility large common room, with open fire (you can cook on) comfortable seating and tables and complete kitchen/bar with fridge, cooker. Books, games and even TV. Only missing internet, and to be honest you don't really go somewhere like this to be in the web! For the less hardy campers Sept-Oct or Mar-June probably best months to visit. There are even fixed BBQs next to the camping area (but only permitted to use during the official permitted months over winter). One thing to bear in mind, there is no shop, so bring everything you need, nearest decent shops is Ronda, the closest is basic petrol station with limited range of groceries. Great spot to stay for walking hols or visiting the surrounding area, lots to see in the surrounding area.
