This is a restaurant that strives towards a gastronomic image, succeeds at certain points but sadly misses the mark at others, especially the service. We went as a fairly large group (six people) for a semi-casual dinner. We had booked a few hours prior and were happy to get a table. Three of us ordered the set menu and three had ordered mains and starters. While our waiter told us that the whole table didn’t have to order set menus, he was extremely pushy trying to upsell menu items to the point that it got uncomfortable. He did this throughout the meal, up until desserts: our friend wanted to order the mango sorbet and he kept pushing her to order another dessert for double the price. I get what’s going on, but this attitude really ruined the experience for us. The food in the set menu was good, especially for the price. We really enjoyed the “seabed” starter which looked and tasted amazing. The sea urchins were impressive and I would especially like to point out the cream of langoustine which was a delight, both visually and in terms of taste. Sadly, the restaurant’s specialties (the fishing boat appetizer and the paella main course) were average at best. The appetizer was ok, but it lacked substance beyond the presentation. The paella was sub par: soggy, badly seasoned rice. Overall, our experience was OK, especially for the price, but if the restaurant wants to position itself as a gastronomic destination, it still has long ways to go, both in terms of the service and the menu.

Get the seafood platter, it's shockingly good. So, So good. Unbelievably good! Get it, you will not regret it.

We have been here several times in the past, and has become our go to for sea food when we visit Salou. It has become more modern recently but the quality of food still great and prices have remained reasonable. I would recommend the set menu if you want a variety of things to try! We added a dish of mussels which were fabulous. Perfect date night location or for a nice meal out with friends. Look to spend around 50 /pp for a good meal, water and bottle.

Excellent quality and delicious, would have liked if they changed my shells filled plate more often though.
