A must visit temple in Burgos. Centuries of work and additions has resulted in an astonishing creative achievement. The self guided tours are informative and comprehensive.
This is a world heritage site and we'll worth a stop. As amazing as it is from the outside, a visit to the interior is a smorgasbord of Gothic wonder. You'll need at least two hours. Pilgrims with credentials only pay 4.50. A bargain for all there is to see. Wonderful stained glass windows and soaring vaulted ceilings. Here the Medieval artisans brought stone carving to new heights of artistic achievement. The two-story cloister with stunning stained glass windows is an absolute wonder. There are lockers for pilgrims to leave their backpacks for the visit. Audio guides in multiple languages come with the admission. Amazing! A true architectural treasure in the Camino Frances.
Phenomenal cathedral. I have seen a lot of churches but this one should be among the most impressive ones....
