Typical Barca place, good local food made in the restaurant while you enjoy your drink!

A very local place to try the delicious Callos (beef tripe)- very juicy and tasty for anyone who may be deterred by its appearance. Service is great and price is very affordable.

Well known for their traditional Catalan food, the callos was amazing, tasty and cooked to perfection- washed down with a cold beer. Highly recommended if you want to experience a traditional bar/eatery in the heart of the Gothic area.

Only suitable for people who like kitch style and authenticity, the place remains as one of the examples of classic "Spanish bars" of all times. Now the food is fully homemade, you always see the lady owner working on the corner on her tortillas and callos. Short menu but good quality and friendly service.

Slightly lost in the initial translation however so glad I tried the specialty dish of Brusi. The woman who makes the dish sits at the end of the bar making more food and she is so proud of her creation, there are newspaper cuttings everywhere showing it to be so. When she described the dish as bull (make horns with fingers) and stomach (rubbing tummy with hand) I had thought she meant nice tasting beef dish but what came was spicy tripe, not something we're used to in the UK however glad I tried it. Also had curried sausage and mushrooms which was also really nice. Great tapas, cold beer and La Liga on the TV, happy days.

Great local traditional food which sets it apart from all others. It’s laid back no frills restaurant. The food is spectacular- if Grandma was from Spain this is what a home cooked meal would taste like! Highly recommended

Do not eat here....I was taken back by an article I'd read in Time Out magazine. It was a mistake to eat here. Besides, the tripe (callo) most of the food seems to come out via microwave. I actually feel sick from what I had which was Catalan sausage and mushrooms and the potato tortilla. Service from the male is awful and uninspired. I genuinely feel bad for the elderly cook, who is struggling with her hip or leg and is stuck doing a job her health is slowly preventing her from doing. That aside, this place is stuck in the 80's and will never evolve. It was probably acceptable in the 80's to produce food of this standard, but that was then and this is now. Shame really.
