The place is still closed, but you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings, the birds, the little sulphur-containing river that runs from underground through the little roman bath building and towards the sea. The water there felt really warm and you could breath the humid air that felt like you were in a jungle. Not even smelly, just a light odour. There are fences by the building and little further downstream, but the rest of the stream is open. At this time of the year everything is so green and beautiful. And don't forget to go to see the old bridge, which is about 100-200m downstream. To get there don't take the stairs when you leave the bath area (there is a fence anyway in the top of the stairs), but take the path that starts left from the stairs. Look down towards the river after some 100m, there is a deep path down to the river and to the bridge.

Absolutely magical! Beautiful setting, feels like a special secret! The baths are astonishing, sulphur waters and ancient stone. Imagine the Romans bathed here!! The river at the bottom has mud that people put on their skin and water that leaves your skin soft and healthy. There are picnic benches and rocks to sit on as well as the bright white bath house. The fact that it's hard to access and find just adds to the attraction!

This place takes you back to star wars when Luke lived in the desert. Its an amazing free open air bath with the odd turtle, fish and snake all happily swimming along with you. And the place where you can dry feels like an open air sauna. Absolutely lovely. My kids 5 and 8 absolutely loved the adventure playground feel so we came back for a second time. This time we saw a snake sun bathing and a turtle poking its head out. How to get there. Once you are at the Roman Bath restaurant under the motorway viaduct take the dirty right side road until you get to the official parking lot. Carry on by foot and keep right at the bend as left gets you on to a great hiking trip down a beautiful canyon. Pass the church and Eventually you will see the steps on your right to go down to the baths. Enjoy!

Lovely old unspoilt Roman bath with river, bridge and walk close by. Very secluded spot which makes this place very atmospheric. Definitely worth a visit .... if you don't mind the quite strong smell of sulphur!

Interesting experience. One of the highlights of our trip. Its an old brick semi submerged crypt with stairs down and a small stream leading to a pool and then down to a river with high muddy banks. There is something special about the place tho that is hard to describe. The walk up from the parking lot helps put you into the right frame of mind to appreciate the history and beauty of the place. Once you get there the process seems to be; walk down to the river bank, scrape some mud off and coat yourself with it, go sit in the sun, once the mud is dry you climb down into the bath \house\ and wash it off. This is then followed by sitting around the pool area just outside the bath house and chatting with the other visitors to the place. Fun stuff.
