My boyfriend and I took a group surf lesson at Base Surf Camp and we had so much fun that we decided to take a week of surf classes with them! We have both surfed a little before (a long time ago), but the tips Lois and Tomas gave us really helped us improve our surf skills. Elizabeth was very kind and helpful and made sure Base Surf provided equipment that was perfectly suited for us and our needs (their gear is top quality!). We can't wait to surf with Base Surf Camp again and highly recommend it to anyone, whether you're looking to learn how to surf for the first time or want to improve your surf skills!

It was my first time taking a surf class and I had so much fun. They provided everything but a swimsuit and towel. It was so convenient and all we had to do was cross the street from our hotel to the beach. I’d definitely take another surf class next time I visit or maybe rent one of their paddle boards!

Wow! 100% deserving of five stars. Elizabeth and her husband offered a friend and me the most professional and friendly service we have ever experienced at a surf school. Elizabeth really went out of her way to get us riding green waves at good beaches in the area. It helped that the surf was really awesome one day we went (the beach that day was Caión I think it’s called, or something similar). The main beach right by the surf shop wasn’t breaking when we were there, but at low tide I imagine it would be good for beginners, and who knows, maybe more advanced surfers too. Bravo! Can’t wait to go back.

I had such a great time learning to surf at Base Surf Camp. I came to them with zero experience and left with a smile and confidence in my new skills. My instructors were fun, knowledgeable people and I would highly recommend learning to surf from them!
