This new 3rd-generation synchrotron (one of some 20 in the world) is the only one in southwestern Europe. In addition to ALBA, BSP offers an attractive environment for open innovation: UAB University, UAB research park, Technology Vallès Park, EURECAT technology center, ESADE-Creapolis business center, etc., and a dense industrial fabric of over 10,000 companies.
