Best sushi I've had outside of Japan.

Came here to find out what Catalan sushi tasted like. Turns out it's great. I got the tasting menu, or the Shunka menu. For 65, it included 9 courses with a dessert. See the menu for all these details. Using parsley for a palate cleanser was different than pickled ginger, and I loved it! My favorite were the fried hake fish cheek; smoked sardine sushi; fatty tuna, sea urchin & salmon row on sushi rice; and grilled prawns. They were amazing. The rest of the courses were good. I finished with the green tea truffle, which was, again, amazing. If you go, tough know what to get...
Japanese food as in Japan. Fresh fish and authentic taste. If you love japanese food don’t miss this place.
It's very satisfied as well when I looking for Japanese fine dining even the Izakaya which is casual pub either shouchu and Nihonshyu. I had Kubota Senju from nikata Japan where very well made Sake rice based, reasonable price enjoyable. Hope to visit again soon, recommending to there when you guys experience fine seafood and grilled well paired Japanese Drinks.
It used to be one of the best sushi restaurants in Europe but now....I’m so sad. If you are looking for quality ingredients, great skills in sushi making and value for money, this is not the place. It wasn’t cheap before but the quality matches. It’s now serving tourists who have money but no idea about Japanese food (or general good taste in food). It’s not terrible but certainly isn’t worth the price tag and there are sooo many other restaurants in Barcelona who serve much better food at a fraction of the price here....
