MUSEEA.COM Sofia Hedman (SE) & Serge Martynov (RU/UK) have curated and designed numerous fashion and art exhibitions in London, New York, Miami, Saint Louis, Tokyo and Stockholm. Together, they have had the pleasure of collaborating with some of the most prominent and exceptional designers, artists, curators, academics and writers of today. They have received a number of accolades and scholarships. 'Utopian Bodies – Fashion Looks Forward' at Liljevalchs was awarded Exhibition of the Year 2015 by the Forum för utställare, the Association of Swedish Museums. 'A New Space Around the Body' won Best Project by the British Council and British Fashion Council. In 2016, Serge & Sofia were invited to join MoMA’s advisory board for their upcoming exhibition 'ITEMS – Is Fashion Modern?'. Serge and Sofia have created exhibitions for Somerset House, Christies' New York and Art Basel in Miami. They have also been closely involved with exhibition-maker and professor Judith Clark’s 'Simone Handbag Museum' in Seoul (London, Seoul 2012) and 'Chloe Attitudes' (Palais de Tokyo, Paris 2012), as well as further exhibitions for Selfridges and Victoria & Albert Museum in London, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam, MoMu in Antwerp and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. They have compiled and designed several catalogues and lectured at, for example, PechaKucha, Beckmans College of Design, The Swedish School of Textiles, Architectural Museum in Sweden, MoMA in NY, IUAV University in Venice, Parsons The New School in Paris as well as Goldsmiths University of London in UK. Serge and Sofia’s work has been covered by i-D, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Style.com, W Magazine, V Magazine, Interview Magazine, BBC News, Elle, Dazed & Confused, WWD, Designboom, Dezeen, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, The New York Times, NY Magazine/The Cut and The Wall Street Journal to name a few. In 2015, the duo founded Museea – an interdisciplinary platform bringing together a network of extraordinary contributors.
