One of my favourite art spaces in Barcelona sitting on top of a hillside, overlooking parts of the city. The space and artwork are wonderfully curated- both inside and out. The sensational art work produced by Miró is made all the more interesting by the audio and written information that is in English, Spanish and of course, Catalan. I spent almost 3 hours in the space.

This museum is not that much about looking at paintings, it's about integrated experience of space, city, nature, air, light and proprioception. Very enjoyable and inspiring experience. recommended to come alone and spend a good couple of hours in peace.
Beautifully designed building with fantastic views of the city. Directly opposite a funicular stop so easy to access, although it is a rewarding walk. A great collection of the work of Miró and others, which ties his roots and development in Catalunya to the wider world. Well worth a visit. If you live here a year membership is only 1 more than general admission. You can returnas many times as you like at no extra cost.
A great modern art museum that features the work of Joan Miró and other artists. Joan Miró donated many of his works to this museum (Miró was alive when construction began in 1975). Exhibits here range from breathtaking to provocative. It is one of my favorite sites in Barcelona, and if I was a Barcelona resident, I would visit this museum often.
Many unique works that you probably would not find even on best Miró exhibitions in Paris or Vienna
If you like abstract art, this is the place for you. There are descriptions of the paintings, which makes it more clear and interesting. There are big paintings, very famous. It is a lovely place to try to understand more the author.
Good organisation. Spacious building clean and well conservation. The architecture very well thought for catch lights
Finally went to this museum and I really enjoyed it. If you like abstract art, you will love Juan Miró's work and this museum. What made me even happier is that we can take pictures and videos of pretty much everything. The staff was very friendly as well (unlike most other museums were everyone is grumpy and mad for no reason!!) The view is amazing and it's worth spending time and having a coffee in the terrace with a view of Barcelona.
