Genuinely good food, simple but effective. Akin to some other tapas bars, Blai 9 operates in a way that allows you to gauge roughly how much you spend by looking out for different types of mini bowl/plate, and their colours, either black or translucent. You then take your tray, with your empty tapas bowls/plates to the bar so they can add up your total. It appeared good value for money. I got a stool at the bar (with my partner), which was piled high along its entirety with the various tapas dishes, and allows for a good vantage point when deciding what tapas to grab next. Despite the variety on offer, the quickly diminished piles were swiftly topped up as and when, and occasionally swapped out for a new platter of tapas dishes altogether, owing to the diversity of food on offer. Vegetarian? No problem! Only like salmon? Fear not! All in all, the fab tapas combined with not having to sell your left kidney and pretty decent house sangria added up to be a night thoroughly well spent, I'd say this place is a 'don't miss this out'!

It looked beautiful more than taste. Staff (owner?)was kind . I had gone to another tapas bar before coming here, I was full but the taste was not bed. If I had been hungry, I would have eaten a lot.
Walking from La Boqueria to Magic Fountain of Montjuïc We found this place. Magnificent!! Wonderful food and friendly staff. Loved it!
Really nice place where the staff takes pride in serving good Quality tapas with a smile. Quality food and good service. The coffe was the best I had in Barcelona and it took a few minutes to get the orange juice since it was freshly pressed. The pricing is fair. A great place. Try the brunch and order the salmon, thank me later! Just go here.
This restaurant has a far better selection of tapas than the others in the area that offer tapas on bread. It’s cheap, delicious, and the breakfast is good as well. It’s open til late but be sure to get there before midnight as the tapas options dwindle the later it gets.
