Having seen such mixed reviews, I approached this restaurant with some hesitation. Immediately the sight of the outside terrace in the small plaza built up some confidence - it is beautiful. The service was nothing less than professional and friendly. Now on to the food: spectacular! Some of the best I've had in Barcelona, tapas with a clear gourmet twist. We had a great bottle of red too. The dessert was also amazing. So in the end? I can't wait to come back!

Don’t hesitate. Make a reservation and eat here. The bread with tomato dip is awesome, I loved the tomato salad with tomato ice cream. We had to order two of the crispy chicken it was so delicate and good. Great sauces. The cured meat with almonds was tasty. We will flag this as a favorite!!! The ambiance is really nice too they did a great job with the lighting. It feels really swanky. The music is pleasant. The bar has really cool lights behind the booze bottles. Our drinks were also good. I had a mojito and he had a Manhattan.
We had wonderful meals in Barcelona, but our dinner at A Restaurant was my favorite. Each tapas dish was unusual, delicately flavored, and delicious. The restaurant, which looks out on a quiet, historic square in Barcelona, is attractive and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous space and incredible food. A lot of interesting, unique flavor combinations. A bit pricier than many other restaurants in the area, but well worth it. Location is also great - near many of the main attractions, but tucked away in the Square of Silence.
Low key, quiet, clean, good service and location. The only thing that we found unusual was not being able to get any baked loaf style bread to enjoy with our cheese tray - only bread sticks. Other than that It was a great place in a great space to end a great day. Would definitely go again.
we had a lovely time here. the prices are upscale but all the dishes we tried where of high quality and presentation was nice. the staff was attentive and just right for our party. we all left full and satisfied :) we would eat here again.
